I used the Tactical XIII trolley to lighten my back worn out (chronic lumbago) by years of portaging, to see what it had in the belly in a 'demanding' terrain like the paths of Corsica can be. Well, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise, as I was able to use it on some great sections of the route, despite the fact that the trails were often damaged (storms in 2023).<\/p>\n
The trolley proved to be very reliable. It's great on the flat. Downhill, it's a real bonus in terms of comfort and energy savings. And after a short learning phase in terms of steering the machine, you go into trial mode on very chaotic sections, including narrow paths. Climbing becomes more technical, and much more than the difference in altitude, it's the state of the path (rocks, steps, vegetation, etc.) that quickly sets the limits of the game.... I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly you can switch from trolley to rucksack mode - less than a minute if you're used to it. For a long trek with lots of rolling sections and mountain passes, the trolley can be a real asset, changing the game, including in terms of autonomy, as you can set off with more weight.
