"I discovered cross-country skiing about five years ago and was quickly frustrated by my distance from the mountains, being from Lorraine by adoption. Then I discovered skiroues and the idea came to me to spend a week each year roaming around using this mode of transport to discover a quiet corner of France.

In 2022, I set off on the Vélodyssée from Arcachon to Rochefort with a rucksack weighing around 13 kg, but the ordeal was too physical because the rucksack was too heavy and the sport too demanding. After some research, I discovered Tactical XIII and then met Alex in Clermont Ferrand for a (conclusive) trial of his trekking trolley. At the beginning of July 2023, I returned to Arcachon to ride down to Capbreton on the Vélodyssée.

I was an instant fan of the trolley. I was able to alternate between skiing on cycle paths and walking around lakes in portage mode, which made my trip a lot lighter and the curiosity of my mode of transport and the trolley enabled me to meet some great people. The trolley is really very light and robustly designed, and I really appreciate Tactical XIII's virtuous approach.
