What's the difference between Model X-Trek Version 2 and Version 3?
Version 3 is our latest development by drawing on all the feedback we receive from our customers with Version 2.
This new model has been designed for hikers who have regular to intensive practice to make transporting their equipment easier, by alternating easily and quickly between rolling and carrying. Even more robust than Version 2, Version 3 features a rigid carbon fibre tubular frame that can be fully dismantled to accommodate bags from 30 to 110 litres.. This rigidity also provides greater comfort, stability and performance when riding.
Finally, Version 3 is more compact in position folded than Version 2, making it easier to transport during transitions by hitchhiking, bus, train, boat or plane.
How wide is the Model X-Trek?

Do you offer a rental service for testing the trolley?
We do not offer a rental service.
However, it is possible to test the Model X-Trek in real-life conditions during an appointment at Miremont (63380)located around 45 minutes north-west of Clermont-Ferrand.

How does a group order work at Tactical XIII?
If you order two or more trolleys in a single order, an option is available to you from among the following:

Can you tow the Model X-Trek behind your bike?
Yes, we offer a bike kit specially designed to tow your Model X-Trek trekking trolley behind a bike, on rolling terrain.
Lightweight and compactThis kit can easily be stowed away in your rucksack as you continue your itinerary on foot.
It allows you to switch easily between cycling tourism and hikingwithout bulky equipment.
Attention this kit is not not suitable for mountain biking on uneven terrain.

Can I return my trolley and get my money back?
Yes, you have a 14-day legal cooling-off period from receipt of your order to request a return and refund.
To take advantage of this offer:
- The cart must be returned in perfect condition, with no signs of wear.
- The returns procedure may vary depending on the situation. To ensure that your parcel is handled correctly, please contact us directly before sending it. We will then give you the exact address and details of the procedure for your situation.

Attention If the trolley has been used and shows signs of wear, the refund cannot be made. In this case, we advise you to sell it second-hand.

What do I do if my trolley breaks or has a problem? Do you offer repairs?
Tactical XIII repairs all Model X-Trek. In the event of break or wearThere are two possible solutions: return the trolley back to the workshop for repair by us, or receive the spare part to replace yourself if the work is simple. In an emergency, a trolley can be shipped with return label.
To limit the risk of breakage, it is important not to exceed the following limits 20 kg and to respect its physical capabilities and to alternate intelligently between rolling and portage depending on the terrain.

What are the special features of the Model X-Trek Version 2 Évolution?
The Model X-Trek V2 Evolution is an enhanced version based on customer feedbackcombining lightness, robustness and modularity. It incorporates a reinforced adjustable axle, the FEEL UP system to adapt the height to the bag (20 to 80 L)and puncture-proof wheelsa bib rigidand solid fixings and straps quality military. It's still very quick to assemble (< 30 s) and switch to portage mode (< 20 s)with a weight of 1.975 kg and a recommended load of less than 20 kg.
The trolley can be customised and is compatible with a range of accessories (bike kit, Molle loops, titanium axles, etc.). It costs €380 (excluding options).
The bag, poles, and Molle pouches are not included.
What are the manufacturing and delivery times for a Model X-Trek?
Our trekking trolleys Model X-Trek are made to order in our workshop in Auvergne.
Manufacturing and delivery times are 3 to 5 working days.
All our products are only available on our website.

What should I do if my poles break or twist? How can I avoid them?
The Model X-Trek is designed to be used in portage and rollingwith the help of your walking sticks. Although it is robust, a few precautions are essential to ensure the longevity of your poles and the trolley, :
-Respect the maximum load of 20 kg : beyond that, performance is reduced and your poles risk breaking.
-Adapt the load to your physical abilities You need to be able to switch easily to portage mode when the terrain dictates.
-Alternate intelligently between rolling and carrying Avoid towing the trolley over unsuitable terrain (scree, stairs, overly technical paths).

Can I use a second pair of poles?
Yes, many users of the Model X-Trek use a second pair of sticks This works very well and can provide extra comfort, particularly on technical terrain or over long distances.
The trolley is designed so that the weight of the bag rests mainly on the axlewhich significantly reduces the load on the hips and shoulders. on average only 10 % of the total weight is felt.

The Model X-Trek touring trolleys are designed to be extremely robust and sustainable over timeeven in demanding terrain. All the parts of the trolley including wear parts, are independent and interchangeablewhich allows you to repair it easily and extend its lifespan ad infinitum.

- We offer a rapid repair or a standard exchange within 24 hours.

What is the maximum load capacity of the Model X-Trek?
The Model X-Trek is designed for recommended load less than 20 kg. This limit guarantees optimum performanceboth in rolling that portage.
Beyond that, the Model X-Trek's performance is reduced and you risk damaging it and your walking poles.
When and how should I change the tyres on my Model X-Trek?
Tyres wear according to weight, terrain and use. Replace them when their outside diameter approaches the 24 cm (around 2,000 to 3,000 km).
X-TREK tyres : off-road tyres - €10/tyre
X-ROAD tyres (+400 g): for road tours - €20 /tyre
When your tyres need changing, We invite you to return your complete wheels to us so that we can replace them in the workshop. If you're on the move, we can send you complete reconditioned wheels (new tyres + bearings) to the address of your choice: gite, campsite or poste restante. Delivery takes 2 to 3 working days.
What payment methods are available for ordering a Model X-Trek?

What is the Model X-Trek warranty? What does it cover?
All the Model X-Trek touring trolleys are guaranteed 2 yearsexcluding parts subject to wear and tear. This guarantee covers all manufacturing defect or material defect, and is accompanied by a 7/7 technical assistance servicein the event of a problem while roaming.
Parts excluded from the warranty (normal wear and tear) :
- Tyres : They should be replaced when the outside diameter approaches the maximum permissible values. 24 cm.
- Bearings : generally to be replaced from 5,000 kmor in the event of abnormal noise.
- The protective flap (under the bag): its lifespan depends on your use. In fact, the bib will not need to be changed if you are careful and if you alternate with the portage mode when the terrain requires it.

Can you transport a dog with the Model X-Trek?
