Focus on Version 3: Which size to choose?

Choosing the right size for the Version 3 Tactical-13 is essential if you want to get the most out of your trekking trolley. Whether you're carrying a 30 L or 110 L bag, this guide will help you select the ideal size to combine comfort, practicality and performance on all your treks and expeditions.

La Version 3 pushes the boundaries even further by allowing bags to be carried up to 110 LThis considerably broadens the field of use, particularly for long treks and demanding expeditions. It retains the ingenious principle of using your own walking sticks and be able to switch quickly between portage and rolling depending on the difficulties of the terrain. Its tubular structure rigid at carbon fibres and in aluminium provides greater comfort and performance than our previous models.

Model X-Trek Version 3 sizes

La Version 3 adapts equally well to day hiker than thelong-distance adventurer. Whether you're going for a walk with a simple 30 L bag or need to carry more substantial equipment - like a inflatable canoeequipment bivouac or a bag of more than 100 L - a version of the trolley will be proposed to you according to your profile and the capacity of your bag:

Ultra-light walker

Itinerant hiker

Great explorer

As you can see, it's important to choose the right height for your Model X-Trek depending on the size of your bag:

- 30 to 50 litre bag: x2 20 cm carbon fibre side rails; trolley height 50 cm

- 60 to 80 litre bag: x2 30 cm carbon fibre side rails; trolley height 60 cm

- 90 to 110 litre bag: x2 40 cm carbon fibre side rails; trolley height 70 cm

We also offer an all-size option if you have several types of bag for your expeditions. This option consists of: x4 standard carbon fibre side rails and x4 black anodised 7075 aluminium clip connections AND x2 carbon fibre side rails extended by 30 cm. Possible heights: 50, 60 and 70 cm.

Choosing your bag's capacity

The size of your rucksack depends mainly on the length of your trip and the level of autonomy you are planning. For a weekend, 30 to 50 litres may be enough, whereas a touring trek lasting several days or weeks will often require 60 to 80 litres, or even more in rough conditions. To fine-tune your needs according to duration, season and equipment carried, you can consult the practical guide provided by Decathlon on choosing the right size hiking bag, which details the criteria to be taken into account depending on your profile and your plot of land.

But be careful

Respect YOUR carrying capacityIt's important not to exceed your carrying capacity, so that you can always switch to carrying mode when the terrain dictates.
